Sex and Gender: Does it make a difference?
January 13, 2011

Men and women are different – from the not so subtle physical distinctions to the way they think. Now, a new body of research suggests that there are also important differences in the incidence and expression of major mental health problems in males and females.
This January 14, will take place at Louis-H. Lafontaine Hospital the symposium "
Human Nature: Women Mental Health" to explore the biology, sociological impact and the progression of this phenomenon.
This symposium aims to raise awareness of this discrepancy. To better treat women with mental health disorders they must be included in research studies and clinical trials.
