Have you recently been the victim of a criminal act?

September 09, 2009

The Trauma Studies Centre (TSC) of the Fernand-Seguin Research Centre of the Louis-H. Lafontaine Hospital is currently carrying out a study on the psychological and social impacts of criminal victimization. The TSC is seeking people aged 18 and over who have been the victim of a criminal act in the past 20 days.

The aim of this study is to improve our understanding of the risk and protection factors related to the adjustment of victims of crime and hence increase the effectiveness of the interventions offered to victims.

Participants could receive compensation of between $20 and $60 and could possibly obtain psychological benefits.

For more information, please contact Emilie Jetté, psychologist and project coordinator at 514 251-4000, extension 3734.

This research project is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and directed by Stéphane Guay, Ph.D.
