Profile
Lyse Turgeon’s research interests involve the evaluation, treatment and prevention of anxiety disorders among children and adolescents. In particular, she is studying the effect of preventive intervention on the parents of pre-school age children (three to six years old). She is also a member of the research department at Hôpital Rivière-des-Prairies, where she is collaborating on numerous clinical research projects aimed at improving the services provided to children with anxiety.Projets en cours

- Risk factors associated with the development of anxiety disorders (behavioural inhibition, parenting practices, parental psychopathology, etc.)

- Cognitive behavioural therapy in children (depression, hyperactivity, eating disorders, etc.)

- Use of virtual reality therapy for the treatment of anxiety disorders among adults, adolescents and children. Grant from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI). Co-researcher (lead researcher: Stéphane Bouchard).
- Impact of comorbidity on the treatment of Tourette’s syndrome among adolescents. Grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). Co-researcher (lead researcher: Kieron O’Connor).
- Extent of the ”school effect” in Quebec and characteristics of effective school environments. Team grant from the Fonds de la recherche (FQRSC). Co-researcher (lead researcher: Michel Janosz).
